The bank was founded in 1994 and is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with representative offices in Moscow, Russia; Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Germany. As of March 21, 2001, Amsterdam Trade Bank N.V. operates as a subsidiary of Open Joint Stock Company Alfa-Bank.
